How Time Flys!
It's hard to believe how quickly time is passing by... another week has come and gone with the PA crew! We've been very busy, working on leash manners, sitting, giving paw, eating Kongs, running and playing! Life as a RDRNE homeless dog is action packed..until that forever or foster home is found!
Thanks to some very kind donors the crew got new toys, Kuranda beds, Winter kennel kits, collars and bandannas. Your generosity is so appreciated! The dogs say thank you-thank you for thinking of them. It means so much to rescue and the dogs for remembering, although not in a shelter, they are indeed homeless!
Our little facility continues to grow-we are working hard to ready for the winter. We do have a wish list that would help us prepare. If you are not able to foster or adopt, you can still make a difference in a homeless dogs life; visit the homeless dog's wish list and they also say.. TREATS, TREATS and TREATS!!! don't forget the treats! Boxes of bones, etc are always needed. Rescue appreciates any donations of used lumber, metal roofing, fencing, and gates, please contacttereruffrescue@gmail.com if you could make a kind donation of building materials.
Rescue has also been very busy with collecting donations of gently used and new
blankets, sweaters and jackets. If you would like to participate in helping a homeless dog keep extra warm this winter, pls email donnaruffrescue@gmail.com or Robinruffrescue@gmail.com
Checking in with Belle:
Little blind and deaf pitte Belle continues to enjoy life here in PA.. She's grown so much both physically and mentally. Belle now has her own winter room all snug and cozy. Her foster Daddy has been super busy making sure she has a large indoor space to do her "left" turn spins, romp and play, all the while protected from the elements. :))) Belle wanted us to share that some of our major needs for the indoor building include a wood stove and kennels. If you might assist rescue to make sure the RDRNE dogs have heated indoor play areas on a cold winter's day, please email, tereruffrescue@gmail.com.
Checking in on Mila
Mila continues to wait for her forever or foster home. She's an energetic girl who loves life, her people and is good with kids. Mila is best with larger dogs, no small doggies or kitties. Mila is great on a leash, crate and house trained, 2 years old and ready to snuggle you up with loads of boxer/pittie kisses. Please apply to www.rdrne.org if you could provide this awesome girl with a loving home. :)
Spotlight of the Week RDRNE Pup is Candy
If there is a TomBoy pittie/chocolate lab mix, it's Candy! This girl loves- loves-loves to run. Candy is about 2yrs old, great with her people and older kids. Candy would do best with a male larger dog, no small dogs or kitties, she says! Truly, Candy is a hoot and you and your family couldn't ask for a more loving and loyal four legged
addition to your house-hold. Candy enjoys an active lifestyle, and she's your bestie if you have a squeaky toy! After a hard day of play, Candy has no problem snuggling right next to you to relax on the sofa. Please consider Candy, she's waited a long time for her special home. If you could provide a loving forever or foster home, please fill out an application at www.rdrne.org. :)
Rescue is very excited to have been selected to participate this years Biker for Bini event- being held in Staten Island this Sunday, August 24, 2014. If you would like to meet some of our adoptable's, like Candy, come on out and play! It's going to be a great day for all, so pls visit RDRNE and bring the family.
If you are considering fostering and would like more information, please email Lindsayruffrescue@gmail.com or tereruffrescue@gmail.com, because having their own home is what these animals truly need, so please consider opening your heart and home, fill out an application at www.rdrne.org.
